Hey guys!!!

How are you guys doing? Happy birthday again Mom I hope it was a great day!!

I´m officially old on the mission I´ve made one year!!! The mission is flying by! The work is going good I´ll baptize 2 this week. a man named Adenilson and a woman named Marcelle. They both seem really firm so I'm confident that we´ll baptize both of them.

That´s crazy about the Mickelsons and I´m glad that Matt´s okay. I hope he´heals up fast.

Today were gonna go eat some burger king. all the missionaries are gonna meet up there. I'm super stoked! then we´re gonna go to a members house and hang out.


Its been raining a lot. yesterday we had zone conference and the streets were really flooded. We were soaked when we got there. It was our last meeting with President and Sister Beynon. they gave really good talks. their homecoming will be on July 10th at 9:00.
I sent the package to give to Elder Thomas so he´ll call when he goes home.

My testimony is growing everyday and I'm learning so much. I wrote about 8 letters to people yesterday and I'll send them off today.

Hey guys!
     This week was pretty good! We´ve been working super hard and teaching a lot of first lessons. But it´s been hard to mark baptisms. We´re teaching a girl named Marcelli she reads everything we leave, and is excited for baptism, but she has a hard time going to church. But yesterday the zone leaders called and said they´ve been working with a guy and they found out he´s from my area. And they´ve marked his baptism for this weekend already. So that´s a cool little blessing for me!

Congrats Bubs for your birthday, you´re gettin old!!! Get you learners permit as soon as possible dude,
so you can start driving! Be careful on the long board man!!! I love you buddy!!!

I got you guys some pretty sweet presents today to send home! You guys will like them.

That´s cool John Evan's is dad´s counselor. And that's nuts its still snowing there!

I´ve been enjoying the snacks that you sent me! Thanks again!!

Today I celebrated my hump day, we went to a Rodizio and ate a bunch of good food. it was fun.

Hey guys, it was good to talk to you guys!!! I´m glad that we got to use skype! it was good to see everyone! that stories really funny!!! (I told him about us not logging off of skype and the guy came back and saw us all sitting there smiling at him)

I got my package yesterday!!! Dad´s little surprise was pretty funny! Thanks for all the stuff, and tell Janette and my grand parents thanks too. I love to get packages it was so nice to have some goodies from back home! Also I got the package from the Gublers, they sent me a box of girl scout cookies!


So this Monday we marked the baptism of a girl named Marcelli. she seems super elect and is excited for baptism, other than that it´s been kinda hard to find people to teach in this area, we´ve been making a lot of contacts and knocking lot of doors. but this area is really good and the members are great.

Ryan sent me like 3 pictures of his mystery machine scooby doo alarm clock... that kid is weird!

I don´t really have a whole lot to say! I´m doing great here!
But I haven´t taken a picture with my companion yet. I´ll take a lot of pics this week.
I think today we´re gonna go to the center and buy some stuff.

I wanna bear my testimony, that Jesus Christ is our savior and that he lives, and that this church is the true church of Jesus Christ. I´m happy to be a missionary here in Brasil!

Mothers Day

We got to Skype with Bradley for Mothers day. That's the best Mothers Day gift I could ever ask for. He's doing really good. He looked strong and healthy. It was awesome to hear him speak in Portuguese. We love hearing all of the stories and having him tell them to us, (Much better then email) I miss his voice and personality soooo much! It's fun to hear His laugh and expressions. He has an accent and it's so cute! We got to ask lots of questions and he told some great stories. I Love and miss him so much!! But I couldn't be prouder of him and I know that he is where he's supposed to be.


Bradley was using a member of his wards computer to talk to us. When we got done talking to Bradley he thought he had turned off the skype, but he didn't, we watched him walk into the other room and we could hear them talking (could not understand them) We didn't turn our skype off we just sat there for a few minutes and waited, then a guy came and sat down in front of the computer and put on the head set, when he looked up we were all sitting there smiling at him, he about fell off of his chair because it scared him. We all started laughing and then he satrted laughing. Brad tried to Thank him for letting Elder Ludlow use the computer, The poor guy didn't understand a word. He said "Ludlow" then he said "My English is" -- then he did a thumbs down sign.  So I waved and said goodbye and then he waved and said "bye".  We almost gave the poor guy a heart attack. But it was SO funny!

Transferred

Hey guys!!!
So I got transferred  I'm still in Sergipe, now I´m in an area called Grajeru 2. It seems like a pretty good area, the ward is supposedly really good. My companion is Elder Cardoso from Sao Paulo. He seems pretty cool, he has just 2 months in the mission.

We had everything perfect to baptize Marimar on Sunday, and the church didn't have water so it got cancelled. So they'll baptize her next week. I'm glad that I got outta there, I was there for four and a half months!!!

I still haven't gotten any packages or letters or anything! hopefully tonight I'll get them. or tomorrow...
the zone leaders should bring my stuff from Maceio. Have you sent my bleaching stuff someone said I have 2 packages.

This week it has rained a lot. the house in Itaporanga has a ton of leaks. I woke up and my bed and both of my suitcases were soaked!!! my new house is pretty cool. it has a place to hang a hammock so maybe next p-day I'll buy one.

Is Brian working a lot? What's he doing with all his money? What is he driving? Is he excited for graduation?
How's Brookies softball going I hope she's having a blast!!!

So our meeting is a 3:00 pm so I'll have to skype at like 7:00pm on Sunday, like 3:00 for you guys. I'll call later in the week to confirm and everything.

But yeah I'm stoked to get to work in the new area!

Hey Guys!
How is everyone? I hope that you guys had a great Easter weekend! That´s cool that you guys went to Leeds, this week was just another normal one for me. We worked hard, but nobody went to church on Sunday, so all of our baptisms fell through except for one. We´re gonna try and baptize Marimar this Sunday. and we found a few new people to teach we´ll pass by there tonight.

Yeah I still haven´t gotten and letters or packages, I´ll get them on the days of transfers. I´ll email Cody once he leaves the mtc because he only has a half hour.

 I hope I go to a good area, I´m excited to skype with you guys, I hope I can find a good computer to use.
Then I´ll make my hump day after that!

That´s cool that Brooke´s doing a project on Brazil. oi - hey,  ola  - hello, obrigado - thank you,  por favor - please, tudo bem - all is well.   She could talk about the world cup in 2014 and the Olympics in 2016. if she needs any more info just email me.

 I took a pic of a huge spider that we saw. it was literally the size of a plate. We were walking on the train tracks and we saw two of them.

Not a whole lot going on, I still haven´t gotten my debit cards so I´m pretty low on money, but my mission debit card got here last week. it´s in the mission office.

What are the kids up to? anything exciting, I hope that softball is going good for Brookie! how´s dad´s work going? does Brian have everything worked out for graduation?

I hit the 11 month mark this week!

Hey guys!!!
How are you guys all doing? I´m doing good, the work here is going alright. We´ve still got some baptisms marked for the next few weeks, hopefully they´ll work out. it´s so easy to mark baptisms but it´s freakin´ hard to get people to go to church! so we´ll see.

It´s still really hot here, but the rainy season is starting. I hope that it cools down soon. The city I'm in is way hot cause there´s no wind.

Yesterday we went to district meeting, and after I did a division with my district leader, it was pretty good. I spent p-day at a members house we made food and played some board games.
(I was online the same time as him -I asked him what games he played and what food they made) 
We played a game called war, I sucked. and we made hamburgers.

That´s rough that Brookie´s team has lost the first 2 games. I hope they do better, but it sounds like she´s doing really well. I hope she´s having fun.

I hope my package comes soon, President Beynon will come down in a week or two, so hopefully it comes then. I haven´t gotten any new documents, just a copy of my visa. No I didn´t get letters. And I really suck at sending letters. I keep writing people but I forget to send the letters.

My rash is about the same, I dunno when I´ll go to the dermatologist, they said they´d make me an appointment.

I hit the 11 month mark this week! That´s crazy it´s going by really fast. I should have just a few more weeks here in this area!!! I´m thinkin I´ll leave the area.

But yeah I´m doing good here fam!!! Not really anything going on!!! I haven´t been taking pics, but I´ll do better!

My testimony is growing stronger everyday. I know that the gospel is true and this is where I need to be.

This week was good, other than losing my wallet

Hey family!!!!

This week was good, other than losing my wallet. We worked really hard and have taught a lot of lessons. right now we have 6 baptisms marked, so hopefully they will all work out and we can baptize a whole bunch of people at the end of the month.

We also had interviews this week, it was really good. I really like interviews.

We´re trying to set up a dermatologist interview. My rash is still the same.

No I still didn´t get a letter from the young women.  I got letters from grandpa and grandma and the stake presidency.

Thanks for the email Brookie, I hope you have a good spring break and that Bubba feels better.

It´s going good with Elder Lopes, he´s gonna take an English test so I´m trying to teach him English.

That´s crazy that Brian´s graduating soon, it´ll be 2 years since I´ve graduated! that´s really weird. I hope he has everything in order to graduate.

Today for p-day we had a zone activity. We had a barbecue and played futebol and volleyball, it was fun, but I didn´t have my camera.

Lost my Wallet

Hey guys I lost my wallet today on the bus. I guess it fell outta my pocket. I'm stressin out! so I lost my drivers license and both debit cards, my church and personal one. so you'll have to cancel my personal one. lucky I didn't lose any money, but I hope no one uses the card. the secretary's will transfer my balance to my companions card so I have money. sorry I know this is a pain but if you could send me a new card. I love you all very much!!!
Oh and I met Elder Whitaker today he's in my zone, he's cool.

Saturday 4/9/11
That´s good that they cancelled it. I called the Secretaries and they will move my balance to my companions card and order me a new one. They told me to use the lan house and make sure that you cancelled everything...
I lost my drivers licence, but I don´t think I need it. I also lost my Brazil i.d. I think they can get a copy of that. I´ll talk to President Beynon on Tuesday, we have interviews and I´ll get a new Temple recommend.
I´m glad that it got cancelled, its been my worst fear on the mission to leave something on the bus.
My zone leaders got robbed this week the guys held up the bus with a gun and took their phones.
